Okay, with help and encouragement (or more like persuasion) from my sister, the Rooney family now has their blog. We titled it 'Rollin' with the Rooneys' because it is about our life. Day in and day out. Rollin' along - some days like a mild stroll and others seem like a roller coaster, but we know God is always in control.
In the beginning......Michael and I met our freshman year (September, actually) at Howard Payne University in Brownwood, TX. We were engaged in December and were married a year and a half later on March 7, 1997. And 11 years later, I can honestly say that I am married to my best friend. I love that man! I can honestly say that because of my relationship with Michael I know that my God loves me even more than I can grasp. He chose a man for me that far exceeded my dreams and expectations. And I must say that he ROCKS as a father. Our firstborn, Mason is now 9 years old and is in the third grade. Connor is 6 and is in Kindergarten. Kate is 3.5 and attends Preschool twice a week. And then our precious Ethan is now 5 months old. You will hear and see them often on this blog. In fact, I think that's what put me over the edge to doing this silly thing. I was talking with another mother today at Kate's school who also has four children. We were talking about how adding one more makes such a HUGE difference! Somehow that one little baby makes it seem like my laundry tripled, the Target bill tripled, the time it takes to get ready to go somewhere tripled, and my house now takes all day to pick up, rather than just 1 hour. But we both agree...it's totally worth it! I now that right now I am doing exactly what God has designed me for - raising my babies, being the best mom and wife that I can be. So welcome, and enjoy the ride...Rollin' with the Rooneys!
