Jeremiah 29: 11-14

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you."

A Sigh of Relief

Ethan had an appointment with another Optometrist this morning. When babies are born premature they have the potential to develop ROP (Retinopathy of prematurity) that can ultimately cause blindness. Micro preemies (born before 26 weeks) have a VERY strong possibility of surgery(s) due to ROP. At today's appointment she was pleased and said he looks good for his gestational age. There are a couple of things that will continue to be monitored, but we don't have to return for 6 months. I was surprised though to find out that he will be monitored for a MINIMUM of 5 years. Wow! But, I don't want to take his sight for granted.

Moving on...due to the storms that are expected tonight I told all of the kiddos that they could sleep in my room. (Michael is out of town.) Because we can't all fit in my bed, Mason and Connor opted for the floor in sleeping bags. So, below is a picture of them after they fell asleep. If you look closely, you will notice the dog kennel by Mason's pillow. This houses Rocky - our Yorkie pup. Mason said if bad weather was coming Rocky would feel better about being in Mom's room too....
