I was riding in the car with Connor. So, right off I should know that something amazing will come of this becuase rarely am I alone with just ONE (besides Ethan, of course.) And Connor begins having a discussion with me. (Okay, let me just take a moment to say that many of you who know Connor probably think of him as very shy and having little to say. And on most days, I would agree with you. HOWEVER, get this child away from all the others and all distractions, and he is ABSOLUTELY FACINATING at all of the things he thinks and talks about.)
We talked about some of his favorite toys, the fact that Ethan's birthday is coming, then Connor's birthday...about how things are going at school...who his friends are, some new some old...AND THEN...
Connor: "Mom, I feel so much better..."
Me: "I'm glad you feel better, bug. I didn't know you were feeling bad. Were you feeling sick?"
Connor: "No Mom. I'm not sick. Jesus makes me feel better. He died on the cross for me. He changed my life."
Me: .....tears........of joy. Of utter amazement. Sometimes you wonder what this child understands, what he hears. And obviously, the biggest most important thing he can and will ever learn...Jesus died on the cross and Yes, He most definitely changes our lives.
To God be the Glory!

Ok - Maybe Grabbie shouldn't have read this post while I was at work because now I'm crying!
Let me just say that I hope Brant and I (when the time comes) can take the lessons of raising children that I have learned from you and raise our children to love the Lord as much as you have taught yours to. You and Michael are such an amazing example of Godly parents!
