Jeremiah 29: 11-14

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you."

One Year Ago Today...

One year ago today we brought our precious baby boy home from the hospital. Although the doctors were pleased with his "quick" recovery, it felt like months to Michael and I. It is absolutely the most unnatural feeling I have ever experienced - to come home from the hospital and have to leave your baby. Although my memories of NICU are not necessarily pleasant, we are grateful for the nurses who helped our son. And I will never forget the sheer and utter joy of the day we were able to bring him home!! To God be the Glory!

This is the first time Ethan ever wore clothes. In the NICU they kept with naked, wearing only a diaper.

Due to the age requirements of visitors in the NICU, this was the first time that Kate was able to see her baby brother! She was amazed with how tiny he was!

Mason held him like a pro!

MeMe was so happy to hold him. She stayed with us the entire time Ethan was in the hospital so she could help us with the other children. I truly don't know what we would have done without her help!

This was the first time for Aunt Grabbie to hold Ethan! She couldn't wait to get her hands on him!
Good Ole' Granddad
Connor also sees Ethan for the first time!
With Ethan at home, Michael and I are finally at peace. Now we can rest!

I loved looking at these pictures...I can't believe that it has been a year already. But my favorite picture was the one with Kate - she looks so little and young in this one.
