Jeremiah 29: 11-14

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you."

Election

Well, what can I say? I am stunned. Sad. Sick at my stomach. Frustrated. Mad...at all the people who voted not really understanding the issues. BUT...I am also hopeful. I am reminded of the verse at the top of this screen...."For I know the plans I have for you..." Although I don't understand God's plans...I know I can trust His hand. He knew what the outcome would be. Maybe this is to keep all Christians on their knees...maybe we'll be in earnest prayer for our nation and our leaders like never before.

Here is something humorous incase you are in need of a laugh....I've spent the past two days trying to convince Mason that he WILL NOT have to go to summer school. Someone at school told a lot of kids that if Obama was elected, all kids would be forced to go to summer school. No kidding. He was glued to the TV last night watching all of the numbers come in worse than I was. He actually got out of bed a few times and asked, " Mom...what do the numbers look like?" And this morning, I dreaded waking him. And when I told him the news, he got big tears in his eyes. Once again, I assured him God in still on His throne and He is in control. Not the man in the White House. And finally...I just told him that in order to go to summer school they have to have parents' permission and I wouldn't give my permission (I don't think that's a lie). He was so VERY thankful!!!!
