And We're Off...

Okay, it's official. Mason has officially left for camp. It's so odd here at the house. Although he is usually the one you hear the least, the house seems even more quiet than usual. Connor and Kate are a little somber. I'm really excited for him though. His counselor is AWESOME! And some of his best friends from church are in his group. The Grand Hall in our church was PACKED with children. This is by far the largest group they've ever taken (I think the number is over 300!) So, if you think about it during the week, please pray for all the little campers of Crossroads Christian Church.

Lord, on this Monday morning my little boy is going to camp for the first time. I've been away from him before, but he was always with his grandparents and I could talk to him everyday. This will be the first time in his life that I haven't spoken with him for an entire week. But Lord I know that what takes place at camp this week is so far great and more precious than my own selfish desires to talk with my son. So, I ask you to be real to him this week. I pray that he would experience you in a fresh and new way. I pray that he will learn to walk with you daily, that he will meditate on your words day and night so that he will never depart from them. Please keep him safe and protect him. And help him to have an AWESOME time with his friends (and it would be nice if he remembered to take pictures :) And I trust that you will bring him home safely on Friday.
And for myself, his daddy, and his siblings, please help this week to go by VERY quickly!!!
