Busy Week

I haven't been on the computer hardly at all this week. I was busy turning this kitchen with stained cabinets.....

...into this kitchen with cream cabinets.

Our project isn't completely finished. I want the cabinets to be glazed (around all of the edges)...but it isn't as easy as i thought it would be. I'm getting quotes on the glazing...and we'll have to see what happens.

Eventually, we'll put in beautiful dark granite countertops...but that's gonna be a little while longer.

Until then, we'll just enjoy the freshness of a "new" look.

I know those of you who consider me "so high maintance" will be SHOCKED to know that Michael and I did all of this BY OURSELVES!!! (with the exception of these two little helpers)

I've always considered myself such an organized person, but after seeing all of the contents without the cabinet doors on them...well, lets just say they didn't look so organized. So, not only does the exterior look new but the insides do too! I've completely gone through and reorganized every stinkin' thing I own in this kitchen.

It's almost like we moved...we're having to re-learn where everthing is..the kids think it's a game. And I feel inspired to spend more time in there. So, send me some new receipes to try!
